Tel Aviv Type

Earlier this year I created a type installation for the talented photographer Mikaela Burstow's solo show Tel Aviv at galleryeight. The collection was inspired by the unique spaces, architecture and crumbling Bauhaus buildings she spotted as she wandered and rode throughout the city. I decided that I wanted to work on the entire project without using a computer at all. The result was geometric wooden lettering which I drew (and re-drew and re-drew) then cut out with a jigsaw.

Hello, my name is Grace, and I'm a fashion designer from San Francisco. I came across your blog a while ago and have been enjoying your inspiring posts. I was just wondering if you have any other typography/design blogs to recommend me? It'd be a great help!

Amazing work; I just found the blog today surfing around. Kudos for the non-digital work/process. Hand-crafted is the way to go...
